Due to strong growth in our Energy division \| WSP, we are seeking to hire a **High-Voltage Substation Electrical Engineer \- Primary Systems** for our Transmission team in Madrid, Valladolid, Santander, or Valencia. **What will you do with us?** Your responsibilities will include designing and reviewing high-voltage (HV) substation packages (132–400 kV) using AIS/GIS technologies, preparing layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), technical specifications, and equipment lists—ensuring compliance with client standards and applicable regulations. You will collaborate with civil works, protection, telecommunications, and other specialist teams to guarantee technical consistency of the solution across all project phases. You will also participate in design reviews, insulation and safety criteria analysis, interface coordination, FAT/SAT support activities, commissioning, and document management tasks. Additionally, you will provide technical liaison support to clients and resolve issues arising during project execution. **What are we looking for in you?** We seek a professional holding a degree in **Technical or Industrial Engineering (Electrical)** or Electrical Engineering, with over 10 years’ experience in HV substation engineering (132–400 kV) using AIS and/or GIS technologies; advanced AutoCAD skills for developing layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), specifications, and equipment lists; and solid knowledge of primary equipment (circuit breakers, disconnectors, CTs/VTs, busbars, surge arresters), insulation and safety criteria, and IEC/UNE standards. Experience coordinating with civil works and secondary/protection and telecommunications teams, grounding knowledge, FAT/SAT and commissioning support, and familiarity with BIM methodology and document management are desirable.
