**LADICIM (Laboratory of the Division of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Cantabria)** is seeking to hire a **Laboratory Support Technician**. We are looking for a person interested in engineering, technology, and laboratory testing, eager to learn, develop professionally, and become part of a multidisciplinary technical team. **What\* will be your responsibilities?\* The selected candidate will collaborate with laboratory technicians in preparing, organizing, and conducting tests on materials and finished components. Key responsibilities include: · Compliance with the Laboratory’s Quality Assurance System and Safety Regulations. · Receipt of test samples. · Knowledge and application of testing standards and procedures. · Preparation, setup, and support in conducting tests for teaching, research, and knowledge transfer to industry. · Operation of tools, equipment, and machinery typical of a laboratory. · Preparation, inspection, and maintenance of test fixtures and tooling. · Collaboration in preventive maintenance of laboratory machines, equipment, and facilities. · Support in general laboratory organization and smooth daily operation. · Basic recording and processing of data obtained during tests. **Profile we seek** **Education** Medium or Higher Vocational Training (FP), preferably in: o Industrial Maintenance o Mechatronics o Mechanical Manufacturing o Electricity o Industrial Automation and Robotics o Electromechanics o Construction o Industrial Chemistry o Other similar technical specialties. **Requirements** We seek a candidate possessing the following competencies: · Proactive attitude and initiative. · Capacity for learning. · Interest in acquiring new technical knowledge. · Ability to work collaboratively in a team. · Responsibility and commitment. · Organizational ability. · Problem-solving orientation and responsiveness. · Practical approach to addressing problems. · Adaptability to diverse tasks. · Attention to detail and respect for work procedures. · Residence in Santander or a nearby geographic area. **Preferred qualifications** · Experience operating industrial machinery. · Experience in mechanical workshops or maintenance. · Experience in testing or quality control laboratories. · Experience in preventive maintenance tasks. · Knowledge of welding, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and automation. · Proficiency with computer tools and data analysis. · Technical English proficiency. Prior experience or mastery of all listed areas is not mandatory. Attitude, capacity for learning, initiative, and motivation for professional development will be especially valued.
