What projects do we develop?
The mission of the Quants team is to support the Finance Department by developing advanced tools and the necessary technological infrastructure for pricing and market and counterparty risk management across the financial product portfolios of the ALM Treasury and Funding area and the Markets area.
The team combines quantitative modeling with software development, participating both in model construction and their industrialization and exposure as corporate services, within an environment strongly oriented toward scalability, integration, and operational efficiency.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a software development-oriented profile who actively participates in the entire application lifecycle—from design through to production operations.
Strategic Projects
Participation in strategic initiatives with direct business impact, including:
* Banking platform development.
* Integration of solutions with market systems and core platforms (front-to-back architectures).
* Design of services and APIs to expose quantitative functionalities to
other areas of the bank.
Development and Evolution of the Quantitative Ecosystem
Participation in the evolution of the team’s technology stack:
* Design, development, and maintenance of critical applications and services in production environments.
* Standardization, simplification, and modernization (“corporatization”) of existing solutions.
* Evolution of common service-oriented platforms (architectures based
on APIs and microservices).
* Participation in the development of reusable libraries and shared components
for pricing and risk calculations.
* Management of supporting data and configuration using relational
and NoSQL databases.
* Participation in evolutionary maintenance and incident resolution for
critical business systems.
* Ensuring software quality through sound development practices (code
reviews, testing, version control).
* Use of modern collaborative development tools (Git as the standard version control system).
* Participation in technical architecture design and technology decisions.
* Contribution to efficiency, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives for the
development lifecycle.
Management, Documentation, and Technical Communication
* Preparation of technical and functional documentation for applications and services.
* Definition of architectures, calculation flows, and technical dependencies.
* Interaction with technical teams (architecture, systems, data) and business users.
* Support for technical audits, architecture reviews, and IT governance processes.
Minimum Requirements
* University degree in scientific or technical fields: Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related disciplines.
* Experience in object-oriented software development (Java, C#, C++ or similar).
* Experience in designing and maintaining applications throughout their lifecycle (development, deployment, and operations).
* Knowledge of dependency and library management (Maven, pip, NuGet or equivalents).
* Proficiency in Python as a supporting language (scripting, data analysis, prototyping).
* Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
* Experience with version control (Git).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in financial markets, ALM, or risk management environments.
* Knowledge of financial products or valuation models.
* Experience in distributed architectures, APIs, or microservices.
* Experience in application modernization and standardization processes.
* Experience in cloud environments, automated deployments, or containerization.
* Availability of code repositories demonstrating sound practices and
technical capability.
