We are seeking a Materials Engineer for our Barcelona office.
**Responsibilities and Duties:**
* Material Selection and Design
* Apply methodologies to select materials based on requirements for strength, weight, cost, and operating environment.
* Optimize designs considering material properties and limitations.
* Conduct material compatibility analyses for assemblies.
* Modeling and Simulation / Use simulation software to predict mechanical, thermal, and fatigue behavior.
* Model manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
* Knowledge and application of international standards related to material characterization, testing, and processing.
* Technical coordination with other disciplines
* Review supplier and contractor documentation.
* Responsibility for quality, planning, contractual requirements, and execution plan
* Engineering activities, including the full lifecycle of material requisitions
* Ensure timely reporting on engineering activities.
* Application of standards; verification and implementation of procedures, regulations, and codes.
**Requirements:**
* Technical or Degree-level Mechanical Engineering qualification.
* 2\-3 years of experience in Oil \& Gas projects
* Design software proficiency: E3D, SP3D, among others
**Technical Competencies:**
* Proficiency in AutoCAD / MicroStation.
* Experience with 3D design software is desirable: PDMS / SP3D / AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, and material calculation software.
