Senior Backend Developer

**THE COMPANY** The client company is an innovative health-tech startup focused on improving the quality of life for people undergoing polypharmacy treatments through solutions that simplify daily medication organization. It is a growing environment with a small team and a socially impactful project currently in expansion phase, featuring a dynamic, innovation-oriented work culture. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Participate in the evolution of the application by contributing to the migration from a hybrid AWS architecture to a serverless architecture. * Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and NestJS. * Implement event-driven services on AWS, prioritizing modularity, resilience, and cost efficiency. * Model, integrate, and optimize data in MySQL and DynamoDB, ensuring efficient, maintainable, and secure data flows. * Promote development quality through rigorous code reviews and automated testing. * Technically mentor and support other engineering team members. **REQUIREMENTS** * University degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent qualification. * Minimum 5 years of backend development experience with JavaScript or TypeScript. * Solid hands-on experience with Node.js and NestJS. * Demonstrable experience with AWS serverless architectures. * Familiarity with services such as Lambda, API Gateway, and RDS. * Proficiency in relational databases, especially MySQL. * Knowledge of SQL and T-SQL. * Experience with NoSQL databases, especially DynamoDB. * Experience in data schema design and query optimization. * Understanding of DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines. * Conversational level of Spanish and English. * Ability to work in Agile or Scrum environments. * Residency in Barcelona or availability to work onsite in the city. **PERSONAL SKILLS** * Passionate about technology and committed to continuous improvement. * Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. * Strong communication skills. * Analytical mindset with focus on scalable solutions. * Proactivity in driving the product’s technical quality. * Interest in mentoring and nurturing talent within the team. * Adaptability to working in a growing startup environment.
