We are currently seeking a **Journalist** under a training employment contract for the Corporate Marketing and Strategic Projects Department, whose mission will be to plan and execute defined communication actions to achieve optimal media presence and enhance the visibility of Fira de Barcelona and its trade fairs. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Communication Planning:** + Defining the online and offline media strategy for assigned trade fairs. + Designing, together with the fair director, the media communication plan, as well as executing and monitoring it. + Developing storytelling and defining key messages to convey to the media in order to generate media coverage that enhances the reputation of the trade fairs and Fira de Barcelona, as well as promoting them. + Risk management and minimizing negative media impacts. + Planning and monitoring corporate social media channels. * **Internal and External Management:** + Creating informative content in various formats of interest to the media. + Spokesperson duties: defining key messages and arguments, opinion articles, speeches, and questionnaires. + Liaising with national and international general and specialized media (online and offline). + Implementing agreements with general and specialized media; coordinating information, editing special pages, and producing agreed-upon content. + Contributing informative content to the communication and promotional channels of the trade fairs (branded content / digital branding). + Participating in corporate communication and creating content published across Fira's different channels (website, firablog, firanews, annual report, and social media). + Identifying communication opportunities related to the sectors of the trade fairs; researching and contacting sector sources. + Coordinating with communication departments of exhibiting companies and institutions. + Supporting crisis communication according to the guidelines from Fira's Communication Directorate. + Analyzing press clippings for the trade fairs. * **Vendor Management:** + Managing press agencies, clipping companies, press room accreditation staff, journalists, or external professionals creating content for materials used by Fira's Business Units (newsletters, website, annual report, etc.). + Defining topics, monitoring, and editing texts. **What are we looking for?** * Qualification or equivalent experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, or related fields, or equivalent experience. * Must have completed studies within the last 3 years (graduated between 2022 and 2025\). * Must not have previously worked under a training employment contract. * Technical knowledge: * Familiarity with media operations and key journalists * Knowledge of international media * Social media * Web (SEO/SEM) * Branded Content * Computer skills: Office and audiovisual editing tools * Languages: Advanced English (level C1\) **What do we offer?** * Full-time training employment contract (6 months, extendable for another 6 months) * Flexible working hours * Remote work * Salary: 24\.175 € gross/year
