Through its Nalco Water division, the company helps industrial customers optimize resources, improve processes, and achieve sustainability goals—especially in water treatment and chemical processes. **About the Position** We are seeking a **Laboratory Trainee** to join the laboratory team at our **Celrà (Girona)** plant. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in chemical analysis, quality control, and operational support within a dynamic industrial environment. The candidate will work closely with the laboratory and production teams, supporting the execution of analyses, product validation, and continuous process improvement. **Key Responsibilities** * Support the performance of **physicochemical analyses** of raw materials, intermediate products, and final products. * Collaborate on **quality control** tasks to ensure compliance with internal standards. * Participate in **sample preparation** and reagent management. * Record results and maintain up-to-date laboratory documentation systems. * Support **investigation of deviations** and incident analysis. * Collaborate on **continuous improvement and process optimization** projects. * Ensure compliance with **Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)** standards. * Maintain laboratory order and cleanliness (5S). **Requirements** * Final-year student or recent graduate in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field * Eligibility to sign a **university or educational institution internship agreement** * Intermediate level of English (B1–B2) * Basic laboratory knowledge and analytical techniques **Competencies** * Attention to detail and analytical rigor * Proactivity and eagerness to learn * Teamwork capability * Strong organizational skills * Interest in industrial and chemical environments **What’s in it for you** * Practical experience with a **leading multinational** in the chemical and water treatment sector * Exposure to real industrial processes * Continuous training and mentoring by the team * Opportunities for future development within the company **Our Commitment to an Inclusive and Belonging Culture** Ecolab is committed to fair and equal treatment of all employees and applicants, and to promoting equal employment opportunity principles.
