Eurecat operates eleven centers in Catalonia and has a presence in Madrid, Malaga, and Chile. **Job Description** ---------------------------- **Project:** IdC Fast F – *Accelerated Fatigue Testing for Quality Control and Component Design* **Funding:** AGAUR Producte **About the Project** FAST F is a pioneering initiative aiming to transform how fatigue data is obtained for designing reliable and sustainable structures. The project develops accelerated testing methods, such as the stiffness-based method created at Eurecat, and an advanced digital platform facilitating material selection and component optimization. Additionally, it investigates the relationship between fatigue and fracture toughness to enrich available technical knowledge. Several companies have already expressed interest in applying these advances within their processes. **Responsibilities** * Lead the development and evolution of the FAST F digital platform, designed for fatigue lifetime prediction using experimental data and advanced algorithms. * Implement and optimize calculation algorithms based on the stiffness method and ISO standards for processing test data. * Develop interactive tools for visualizing results, graphs, and automated technical reports. * Integrate artificial intelligence (ML) models to predict fatigue behavior in metallic materials and validate results against real-world data. * Explore the use of language models (LLMs) to generate technical explanations, automated assistance, and result summaries. * Design and implement data architecture and services (frontend, backend, database, APIs) within a scalable and secure cloud environment. * Collaborate with materials researchers to adapt the platform to project requirements and industrial user needs. * Participate in technical documentation, source code maintenance, and software development best practices (CI/CD). * Attend technical meetings, project reviews, and demonstrations with industrial and academic partners. **Requirements** -------------- * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent. * Candidates with a background in Mechanical or Materials Engineering and proven experience in programming and developing digital platforms with AI components will also be considered. * Experience in scientific software development, data engineering, or B2B digital platforms. * Proficiency with scientific environments such as Python, MATLAB, Origin, or R. * Familiarity with AI models applied to technical support and decision-making. * Interest or experience in using LLMs for automated generation of technical content. * Knowledge of DevOps environments, CI/CD, and deployment on servers or cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) will be highly valued. **Position:** Researcher**Department:** Metallic and Ceramic Materials**Location:** Manresa (Spain)**Contract Type:** Permanent**Working Hours:** Full-time**Sector:** Other**Vacancies:** 1**Discipline:** R&D**Work Mode:** Hybrid
