Job Summary: Paid and flexible internships for engineering students, actively contributing to the manufacturing, integration, and testing of stratospheric robots. Key Highlights: 1. Being part of a professional, enthusiastic, and international team. At Near Space Labs, we design, build, and operate a fleet of stratospheric balloons called Swifty. Our Swifty balloons fly to the edge of space to capture images of our planet at the best frequency and resolution available on the market. We offer flexible, paid internships at our manufacturing lab. You will actively join the team responsible for building, integrating, and testing our robots to prepare them for flight. **Your responsibilities will include:** * **Contributing to C\+\+ software development for the onboard computer of our flight vehicle and for the test environment: unit tests, integration tests, system tests, Software\-In\-the\-Loop, Hardware\-In\-the\-Loop.** * **Analyzing flight logs to diagnose faults and identify improvements.** * **Integrating the system with servo motors, cameras, and other peripherals and sensors.** * **Participating in the development of guidance and navigation algorithms, and wind estimation/compensation algorithms.** * **Designing automated fault detection and recovery algorithms.** * **Coordinating with mechanical and electronic engineers regarding system interdependencies.** * **Participating in test flights.** **Your qualifications:** * Student in Aeronautical Engineering or Software Engineering * Practical software development experience is desirable. * Attention to detail and process orientation. * Advanced English proficiency; * Eagerness to learn and contribute to the team’s success. This is an on-site position at our offices in Barcelona.
