JOB DESCRIPTION At **Grup Montaner**, a human resources consultancy specializing in HR services, we are seeking a **Workshop Operations Manager** to join a company specializing in the design, fabrication, and assembly of ephemeral architecture solutions for events, trade fairs, and exhibition stands. **Are you passionate about operations and leading teams in dynamic environments?** We are looking for a practical-minded individual with strong leadership capabilities to ensure the workshop operates smoothly—coordinating the team and optimizing resources for each project. **Responsibilities** --------------------- * Coordinate, lead, and supervise the workshop team, fostering a collaborative, safe, and results-oriented work environment. * Actively participate in fabrication, machining, cutting, assembly, and preparation processes for the various components comprising exhibition stands. * Organize and prioritize daily workshop tasks, allocating workload according to each project’s requirements and peak activity periods. * Plan all production phases to ensure timely delivery. * Interpret technical drawings and perform material breakdowns based on technical documentation (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools). * Supervise pre-assembly activities in the workshop to ensure correct project assembly prior to dispatch. * Coordinate technical packaging and truck loading, optimizing logistics for domestic and international transport. * Implement, supervise, and train the team on internal work procedures and company-established quality standards. * Monitor production KPIs, track the status of critical machinery, and oversee proper maintenance of tools and equipment. * Provide technical support for diagnosing and resolving complex incidents or repairs. * Analyze external workshop budgets when required and propose alternatives to optimize costs and timelines. * Occasionally supervise on-site assembly at national and international trade fair venues, coordinating suppliers and resolving on-site issues as needed. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and applicable legislation regarding materials and installations within the trade fair sector. **Conditions** --------------- * Current location in **Ripollet**, with planned relocation of facilities to the **Fira de Barcelona** area. * Full-time schedule Monday through Friday, **9:00–18:00**, including one hour for lunch. Flexibility in working hours is required during peak activity periods. * Overtime compensation system during campaigns: **50% paid and 50% compensated as time off** during low-activity months. * Fixed annual gross salary between **€35,000 and €42,000**, depending on experience. * 100% coverage of per diems, travel, and business trip expenses. REQUIREMENTS * Higher vocational training degree in Mechanical Manufacturing Design, Production Programming, Carpentry and Furniture Project Development, or equivalent. * Minimum **5 years’ experience** in operational roles within carpentry workshops, exhibition stand fabrication, or ephemeral architecture. * At least **3 years’ experience leading and managing production teams**, coordinating personnel and organizing daily workflow. * Mandatory experience in companies operating in the **trade fair stands, events, or ephemeral architecture sectors**. Candidates exclusively from mass-production or conventional furniture manufacturing will not be considered. * **Proficiency in traditional carpentry machinery and CNC machining centers.** * Knowledge of materials such as MDF, wood, melamine, aluminum systems, LED lighting, and signage. * Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation. * Familiarity with fire-retardant regulations applicable to trade fair and event materials (B1/M1\). * Valid **EU driving license category B** and **willingness to undertake occasional travel.** * Native or professional-level Spanish. Catalan language skills are considered an advantage. * Technical or operational English proficiency (B1\–B2\) is valued for coordination with European trade fair venue staff. * **Willingness to work flexible hours** during peak activity periods and to undertake occasional travel across Spain and Europe.
