Join us in expanding the Overwatch universe by delivering fresh new adventures to players around the world, in a new way to play! We are currently looking for a Senior Outsource Supervisor, 3D Characters, to work on Overwatch Rush for Blizzard. As a Senior Outsource Supervisor for 3D characters, you’ll be focused on character pipelines, team communications, process quality, relationships, great feedback, and all other things connected to the successful outsourcing of 3D character cosmetic content. Working with Art and Production Leads, you’ll support both our external and internal teams, ensure everything runs smoothly, and get our outsourced assets into a "game\-ready" state. Your responsibilities will range from crafting content briefs and managing planning documents to tweaking incoming assets for the game. You’ll also be providing timely, precise, and constructive feedback to our external partners to ensure their work is consistently on target. We can't wait to meet you! **Responsibilities** -------------------- * Work closely with the Art and Production Leads to support the external production of 3D character content for the game, ensuring all content is delivered on time, to quality, and to specification. * Create creative briefs and technical documentation, ensuring they clearly define the work that needs to be carried out by our external partners. * Provide accurate, well\-constructed, and timely feedback to external partners, ensuring they can work at their best without bottlenecks or blockers. * Ensure all relevant content is delivered to specification and that it is easily accessible for internal review and in a game\-ready state. Contribute hands\-on adjustments or polish to outsourced assets when needed to ensure final in\-game quality and cohesion. * Ensure the internal team is kept well\-informed about all relevant external production, highlighting issues that may affect delivery in a quick and effective manner. * Thoroughly understand all relevant content pipelines, proactively looking for gains in efficiency or quality, to then work with the team to improve the way we work. * Build strong working relationships with external partners, proactively identifying and resolving production challenges through clear, solution\-oriented verbal and written communication. **Minimum Requirements :** -------------------------- * Proficiency in crafting high\-quality 3D Characters and props, with a great understanding of efficient UV layout, PBR pipeline, and 3D topology. * Strong understanding of all industry\-standard Art content pipelines, primarily when it comes to making 3D characters or cosmetics. * An understanding of rigging and animation pipelines. **Knowledge \& Skills** ----------------------- * Strong eye for detail, with an ability to understand an art style and to identify what is required to get that content into a game\-ready state. * Exceptional understanding of form, shape language, structure, and silhouette as they relate to compelling character design. * Great written and verbal communication skills, understanding how to articulate complex visual concepts. * Knowledgeable in the technical aspects of creating in\-game 3D characters, covering the full end\-to\-end pipeline, and adept at implementing art into a game efficiently, with a focus on clean, structured, and optimized processes. * In\-depth knowledge of industry\-standard software for the creation of 2d and 3d art, as well as any industry\-relevant game engine and game development environment. **Key Attributes** ------------------ * A passion for making high\-quality games in a cross\-disciplinary, collaborative team. * A champion for the value of collaboration and bringing great people together. * A natural problem solver, keen to do what’s right for the production or content, and the game as a whole. * A proactive contributor, keen to learn and develop your skills and to share your knowledge with the team. * Excellent skills in both written and oral communication * Highly structured and organised, someone who is not fazed by having many things happening at once. **Nice to have** ---------------- * Experience with Unity game development. * Technical skills (shader creation, VFX, and content creation tools)
