As part of our positioning as a leading company in the defense sector, we aim to reinforce our team by hiring a Senior Backend Python Engineer to expand our Barcelona office. What will you do on a day-to-day basis? Design and lead the development of scalable Python backend services in critical environments. Ensure code quality, efficiency, and security through development standards and best practices. Define and implement automated testing strategies, including unit tests and code coverage. Participate in defining robust and maintainable backend architectures. Coordinate with technical teams to ensure proper integration of systems and services. Drive product technical evolution through continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies. Collaborate in continuous integration and automated deployment processes in production environments. What are we looking for in you? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Minimum 5 years of backend development experience with Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django). Experience developing AI-based solutions. Experience with ORM, unit testing, code coverage tools, and automation. Knowledge of continuous integration and automated deployments. Proficiency in Git and collaborative teamwork in collaborative environments. Ability to lead backend architecture design. Experience coordinating technically with other developers. Minimum English level: B2\. Familiarity with authentication and authorization is desirable. Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Java. Experience in event-driven development with Kafka. Knowledge or experience in MLOps and artificial intelligence. Previous experience with agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban). Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines. Analytical, proactive profile with strong technical vision, responsibility, and adaptability.
