Commercial Technician/Engineer, Gas and Oil Sector

### **Astilleros Canarios S.A. (ASTICAN) is a privately-owned shipyard specializing in naval repair, with experienced personnel, whose main activities include the repair, maintenance, and conversion of all types of vessels, marine renewable energy structures, and offshore units.** ### **The shipyard began full operations in 1976 with modern facilities, particularly featuring a Syncrolift lifting system capable of handling vessels up to 36,000 tonnes deadweight, along with seven slipways that meet the quality and service standards demanded by shipowners, enabling quick assistance with minimal notice.** **Position:** ----------- At Astican, we are seeking a Commercial Technician/Engineer with experience in the Gas and Oil (O&G) sector to join our team. The selected candidate will collaborate in acquiring and retaining client and agent relationships, as well as managing commercial and marketing activities in line with the company's strategy. Main Responsibilities: * Analyze the assigned market to identify new business opportunities, customers, and working methods, as well as monitor competition. * Manage quotation requests, coordinate proposal submissions, and follow up on their status. * Negotiate and close contracts with clients, coordinating market agents' actions when necessary. * Prepare and execute marketing campaigns, organize participation in industry trade shows, and produce commercial documentation. * Conduct visits and business trips to contact clients and promote our solutions, generating performance reports. * Support and assist representatives during project execution, organize inspection visits, and handle customer complaints according to internal procedures. * Keep commercial indicators, customer databases, and ERP/BIs updated, preparing periodic reports for management. **Requirements:** --------------- **Requirements** * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Naval Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar. A Master's in Engineering will be valued. * Experience: Minimum of 5 years in ship repair project management, preferably within the Gas and Oil sector. * Competencies: Technical knowledge of ship repair and the O&G sector. Strong relationship-building and high-level influencing skills. Customer orientation (internal and external). Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement. Commitment to management quality. High level of English (ideally C1).
