We are a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-denominational organization working to improve the living conditions of people in situations of vulnerability. Currently, we are seeking an Intervention and Interpretation Technician (Arabic, French) for the Montaña Mina Reception Centre, Lanzarote.
Main responsibilities include:
* Camp management and organization: admissions, transfers; supervision of camp operations and organization (accommodation, meal shifts, operational rules, use of different services, etc.).
* Participation in interviews requiring interpretation in users’ native languages (e.g., with lawyers, psychologists, social workers, etc.).
* Interpretation service for healthcare staff during nursing consultations.
* Monitoring coexistence and managing/resolving conflicts/mediation.
* Direct user assistance: initial reception at the camp, user identification, basic information and guidance, meeting basic needs, technical follow-up of users, referral to other services when appropriate (psychological, legal, and social support).
* Community engagement: design and planning of group leisure activities (recreational, sports, cultural).
* Administrative support related to the service: case file and documentation tracking, processing and management of financial aid, etc.
* Registration of users in ACCEM’s various applications: App Acogida, Egorrión, others.
* Collaboration on additional complementary assistance or intervention tasks with users, as required and according to the internal organization of the reception centre.
* Other actions necessary for the delivery of the service.
Offer includes:
* Temporary substitution contract (IT)
* Full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 15:30 h
**Profile:**
* High proficiency in French and Arabic. Additional languages will be valued.
* Knowledge of migration issues and international protection.
* Ability to work effectively in a team.
* Strong communication and active listening skills, plus conflict resolution abilities; knowledge of mediation tools will be valued.
* Organizational capacity.
* Proficient use of Word, Excel, and other computer applications.
