University Lecturer in Computer Engineering: Distributed Systems

CEU Fernando III University opens the selection process for the incorporation of a university lecturer in the field of Computer Engineering, specialized in **distributed systems**, at the School of Engineering, for the 2026\-2027 academic year, with part\-time commitment during morning hours (4 hours per week) across both semesters of the academic year. **Required Qualifications** * University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications (Telematics), or related fields with professional application to programming. * Certifications in agile methodologies (PSM I, CSM, PMI\-ACP, SAFe Framework, etc.) will be valued. * **A Doctorate in Computer Engineering or Telecommunications will be positively considered.** * Accreditation from ANECA or being in the process of obtaining it will be valued. **Professional and/or Teaching Experience** Experience in the following areas will be valued: * Development of distributed applications (client\-server using UDP and IP sockets, news servers, chat applications, etc.) using agile methodologies. * Concurrent programming, *Test Driven Development*, and related techniques. * Configuration management, OOP, and cybersecurity. **Teaching Content** * Classical and agile software engineering methodologies. * Concurrent and network programming. * Test\-driven software design. * Use of design patterns and recognition of algorithms. * Business process reengineering and configuration management: GIT and refactoring. * Verification, validation, and maintenance. **Competencies and Skills** * Ability to integrate advanced programming fundamentals and AI systems applied to code development. * Competence in innovative teaching methodologies and digital tools. * Planning, organizational, and teamwork skills. * Clarity in exposition and orientation toward applied learning. **Institutional Commitment** Within the CEU Group, we promote equal opportunities and labor inclusion of persons with disabilities.
