WASTE FACILITY OPERATOR (TEMPORARY)

Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a waste facility operator to serve users, manage waste, keep the facility clean and organized, and record incoming and outgoing waste. Key Responsibilities: 1. Customer service and waste management 2. Maintenance and registration of facilities 3. Experience in customer service or logistics Serveis Ambientals del Vallès Oriental, S.A. requires temporary staff for the position of waste facility operator across various municipalities. • Open and close the waste facility at scheduled hours. • Serve users courteously and cordially, clarifying any doubts they may have regarding facility operations. • Assist users in unloading waste, if necessary. • Inform users and municipal teams about the correct location and method for depositing each type of waste. • Record incoming and outgoing waste. • Maintain the facility clean and orderly. • Daily inspection and reporting of incidents (e.g., illegal dumping at the entrance, holes, water leaks, damages, etc.). • Notify supervisors immediately upon occurrence of any incident. • Collect applicable public fees when required * Minimum 1 year of experience. \- Experience in positions involving direct customer service or public-facing roles (e.g., hospitality, catering, reception, etc.). \- Experience in warehouses or logistics departments involving tasks such as classification, loading/unloading of materials, entry record control, maintaining order and cleanliness of the workspace, etc. \- Experience in the waste sector performing tasks related to waste management, street cleaning, or environmental services. \- Experience using workplace technologies (e.g., computer or PDA). * Compulsory Secondary Education Certificate * Catalan (spoken: advanced, written: advanced) * Spanish (spoken: advanced, written: advanced) * Own vehicle available * Driving license: B * Temporary employment contract (3 months) * Full-time schedule * Additional relevant information: Gross annual salary: 24\.660,16 €
