At **Huelma Textil**, we are seeking to hire a **Flat Machine Operator (Topstitch)** to strengthen our garment production team. Requirements * **Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) or equivalent.** * **Desirable experience** in industrial garment manufacturing using a **flat machine (topstitch).** * Dexterity in performing straight seams, finishing operations, and refined finishing touches. * Ability to work with **technical specifications/samples** and follow production instructions. * **Attention to detail and quality** (self-inspection of seams and finishes). * **Agility and steady work pace** on the production line while maintaining standards. * A **responsible, punctual individual with a team-oriented attitude**. **Preference will be given to candidates with**: experience in bottom garments/denim, versatility (operation of other machines), and experience in production environments. **Responsibilities (What will you do daily?)** * Perform **industrial flat machine (topstitch) sewing operations**, following technical specifications, patterns, and samples. * Sew various garment components according to the production line: **reinforcement topstitches, seam joins, hems, waistbands, belt loops, pockets, etc.**, depending on the model. * Execute **precision finishing operations**: topstitching, visible topstitches, and clean finishing touches—ensuring both aesthetics and durability. * Prepare your workstation: **bobbin changes, tension adjustments, needle/thread selection**, and basic machine adjustments. * Maintain **production pace** consistently and orderly without compromising quality. * Conduct **in-process quality control**: inspection of seams, measurements, symmetry, stitch formation, wrinkles, and possible defects before passing the piece forward. * Identify and report incidents (fabric, thread, machine, patterns) to the supervisor or maintenance team to **prevent rework**. * Collaborate closely with the line team (cutting, assembly, pressing/finishing, and quality control) to meet daily targets. * Comply with **occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations, order and cleanliness (5S)** in your work area.
