Job Summary: An environmental control position focused on sampling and disinfection throughout the integrated water cycle, ensuring environmental quality and safety. Key Highlights: 1. This position involves carrying out environmental control activities within the integrated water cycle, under a public biosafety contract. Main responsibilities include sampling and disinfection in both public and private spaces, according to each client’s specific requirements. The work is essential for ensuring environmental quality and safety. Each workday begins with route planning. The technician travels to the laboratory in El Prat de Llobregat to collect the vehicle and equipment. There, they prepare materials, label containers, verify preservatives, and inspect measurement devices such as thermometers and oximeters. Then they proceed to sampling locations. At each location, samples are collected and stored in refrigerators inside the van. For private clients, prior notification is provided. Upon completion, the technician returns to the laboratory to deliver samples and complete documentation. They are also responsible for basic vehicle and equipment maintenance. Relevant healthcare training is required, such as Nursing Assistant, Clinical Laboratory Technician, Nursing, or equivalent qualification. Prior experience in sample collection or extraction is preferred. Basic knowledge of healthcare protocols, patient communication skills, and a courteous demeanor are necessary. Organizational ability and attention to detail are essential. A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
