Design of scalable, resilient, and secure systems DESCRIPTION We are looking for a Backend Software Architect to participate in defense-sector projects, designing and evolving critical software platforms based on modern microservices architectures and cloud environments. The ideal candidate is a technical architect with solid backend experience (Java and Python), specializing in microservices and Kubernetes, with a focus on performance, security, resilience, and interoperability in critical environments. #### **Main Responsibilities:** * Design and development of complex backend architectures. * Implementation of microservices and REST APIs. * Design of event-driven architectures (EDA). * Definition of scalable, resilient, and secure systems. * Working with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). * Application of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD automation. * Ensuring interoperability standards in defense environments. #### **What We Offer:** * Participation in strategic technology projects within the defense sector. * Working with modern architectures based on microservices and Kubernetes. * Hybrid work model: 60% onsite in Barcelona and 40% remote. * Direct hiring by the client. REQUIREMENTS * Minimum 6 years of experience in designing, developing, and evolving complex software architectures. * Solid backend development experience with **Java and Python**. * Experience with microservices-based architectures. * Design and implementation of RESTful APIs. * Experience in DevOps environments and CI/CD tools. * Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. * Database knowledge: * Relational: PostgreSQL, MySQL * NoSQL: MongoDB, Redis or graph databases * Experience with messaging and event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ). * Knowledge of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure or GCP). * Best practices in security and encryption for critical environments. * Prior experience in defense, military, or governmental projects. #### **Desirable:** * Knowledge of interoperability standards (e.g., NATO or European Union). * Experience with observability solutions. * Experience with PaaS/SaaS services in cloud environments.
