We are not looking for a traditional QA engineer or developer: your mission will not be to keep servers running, but rather to write code from scratch that "tricks" the system (simulating hardware and AWS/Kafka environments), enabling development teams to validate firmware for devices and alarms within an efficient, virtualized environment. * **Emulator Development:** You will design and evolve a **Python**-based emulator software to simulate peripheral security devices (sensors, cameras, smoke detectors) communicating via TCP tunnels—replacing all physical RF hardware in the CI environment. * **Fake Server Construction:** You will build and maintain simulated servers (Configuration, FOTA, Media, and Backend protocol simulators), applying fault injection to perform advanced negative testing. * **Test Orchestration (Test Machine):** You will lead the BDD-based orchestration engine built on **Python** and **Behave/Gherkin**, integrating it directly with **Jenkins CI**, and automatically reporting results to **Jira X\-Ray**. * **Next\-Gen Test Infrastructure:** You will simulate **AWS IoT Core** flows, messaging with **Apache Kafka / MSK**, and interactions with Digital Twins to validate firmware for central units. * **Continuous Integration:** You will organically integrate all these components into multi\-stage pipelines in **Jenkins**, covering static analysis, unit testing, builds in virtual environments (**Qemu**), and regression suites. * **AI\-Driven Innovation:** You will apply **LLM\-assisted code generation**, anomaly detection, and intelligent failure triage to accelerate execution time and coverage. * **Exceptional Code Quality:** You will ensure strict adherence to clean software development standards (**SOLID / KISS / DRY**) across the entire test codebase. **What will make you successful** **Education and Experience** * **Proven experience:** **3 to 6 years** (ideally around 4 years) in software engineering roles focused on testing, virtualization, or emulation. * **Language proficiency:** Fluency in both **Spanish** and **English (minimum B2/upper\-intermediate)**. **Technical Expertise (Must\-have)** * **Programming languages:** Expert-level proficiency in **Python** as the primary language, and ability to read/comprehend firmware specifications in **C/C\+\+**. * **Testing and methodologies:** Solid experience with **BDD using Behave**, writing specifications in **Gherkin**, and managing results in **Jira X\-Ray** or **TestRail**. * **CI/CD and virtualization:** Hands\-on experience building multi\-stage pipelines in **Jenkins**, and working with **Docker** containers and platform virtualization using **Qemu**. * **Communication protocols:** Practical knowledge of transport and IoT protocols such as **MQTT (paho\-mqtt)**, **TCP/IP** sockets, mobile communication protocols (**GPRS**), and low\-level proprietary protocols. * **Cloud and messaging:** Experience integrating architectures with **AWS IoT Core**, **Lambda**, **SQS**, and data streaming using **Apache Kafka / MSK**. * **Operating systems:** Strong Linux system administration and scripting skills. * **Applied artificial intelligence:** Practical experience using **LLM** technologies for code generation, anomaly detection, and AI agent architectures. **Benefits that make a difference** **Meaningful professional growth** * Ongoing corporate training. * Free **English classes** in small groups. * Continuous mentoring and personalized support. * Participation in tech conferences, events, and communities. **Real balance and flexibility** * **23 vacation days** \+ December 24 and 31 off. * 1 day for professional events and **3 flexible conciliation days**. * **Work mode: hybrid** (2 days per week in Pozuelo). **Personal benefits and well\-being** * **Flexible compensation** (Cobee) for meals, transportation, training, and childcare. * **Health insurance** with Cigna, Adeslas, or Sanitas. * **Wellness program** supporting emotional and psychological well\-being. **\#TRY \#THINK \#FEEL \#ENJOY** At Kairós, we firmly believe in the importance of equality and diversity in the workplace.
