Position Summary: Direct, comprehensive care for adults with functional diversity in residential homes, managing hygiene, medication administration, and enhancing their autonomy. Key Points: 1. Comprehensive care for people with functional diversity. 2. Collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. 3. Promotion of user autonomy and participation. **Objective** Direct, comprehensive care for adults with functional diversity—primarily intellectual disability, though often accompanied by dual pathology or associated physical conditions. Work takes place in residential homes in Barcelona; multiple vacancies are available to cover, and positions may transition into a pool of temporary workers since numerous substitutions arise throughout the year. **Responsibilities**: * Provide necessary assistance with hygiene, administer medication, feeding, dressing, household tasks, maintaining room order and hygienic-sanitary conditions, and supervise overnight rest. * Stimulate and enhance users’ capabilities in learning or maintaining an active lifestyle. * Develop and implement activities outlined in the Individual Care Plan (ICP) assigned to each user, jointly evaluate progress with the team, technical director(s), and psychologist, and promote autonomy according to users’ needs and wishes. * Collaborate in health-related care and prevention, wound care, and oral or topical medication administration per medical instructions. Collaborate in management and monitoring of sphincter incontinence. * Conduct tutoring sessions for assigned users. * Maintain communication with family members or legal guardians, informing them of the general condition of the person under care, advising on basic needs (clothing, nutrition, health, etc.), and coordinating with other services related to the user (e.g., occupational workshops...). * Execute established or mandatory protocols and records: medication administration, hygiene, daily home log, and any others that may be introduced. * Receive and issue written information to coordinate with the technical director(s). Report any incident relevant to improving care for the person under care to the appropriate professional (e.g., psychologist, technical director...). * Develop and monitor the ICP; conduct health follow-ups; manage clothing inventory... * Maintain and control home facilities and equipment: laundry, kitchen, rooms, table linens, bed sheets... * Ensure application of established protocols. * Respond to emergencies occurring at the residence according to type (medical, falls, etc.). * Supervise, and if needed, maintain technical aids (walkers, crutches, wheelchairs...). * Encourage user participation in recreational activities both inside the residence (monthly leisure activity programming) and outside (community services). * Collaborative and coordinated teamwork with other professionals. * Attend periodic team meetings with the organization’s technical director and psychologist. * Participate in center improvement plans, such as specific residential projects—for example: implementation of alternative communication systems, dog-assisted therapy... * Weekly/monthly assemblies with users to discuss cohabitation-related topics and/or needs. **Profile:** * Education in healthcare, education, or social fields. * Prior experience providing care to adults with functional diversity, preferably in residential settings. * Ability to work effectively in a team. * Seriousness, punctuality, and responsibility. * Availability to work weekends and holidays.
