Summary: Seeking an Outreach technician to manage ISGlobal outreach department activities and be involved in European projects related to citizen science, education, and gender issues. Highlights: 1. The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting\-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non\-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized in five programs: Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases and Maternal Child and Reproductive Health. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry. ### **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR** We are seeking an Outreach technician to join our Scientific Culture Unit (UCC\+i) who is interested in taking over and managing activities of ISGlobal outreach department and be involved in European projects related to citizen science, education and gender issues. ISGlobal's Scientific Culture Unit (UCC\+i) promotes access to scientific knowledge and social interest in science through science outreach and education, participation and citizen science around our institution's scientific research. This unit has been established and consolidated in parallel with the commitment to excellence in global health research. Using formal and non\-formal methods, it works to ensure a bridge between research and society and to promote an active role for citizens in the generation of knowledge. ### **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** * Participate in the Horizon Europe (HE) PULSE\-ART project. * Coordinate outreach activities and support to ISGlobal researchers. * Coordinate activities for teachers, scholars and the general public. * Develop educational materials. * Active participation in the coordination of the outreach projects ensuring an optimal development of the deliverables and outputs defined in the projects. * Collaborate in projects with a high component of art or/and education issues. ### **SPECIFIC DUTIES** * Active participation in the design and execution of the different communication/outreach activities defined in the PULSE\-ART project and interaction with project partners. * Participate in the writing of the reports and materials within the project and others activities related to it. **AUXILIAR TASKS** This job description reflects the present requirements of the post but may evolve at any time in the future as duties and responsibilities change and/or develop providing there is appropriate consultation with the post\-holder. The post holder will respect, and be accountable to ensure ISGlobal policies and procedures. ### **TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS** * Have a Science degree. Scientific background and good experience in the design and execution of outreach and communication activities. * Candidate with initiative, hard worker and with good teamwork skills. ### **SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS** * Previous experience in dissemination. * Having a Master Degree in Science Communication. * Previous experience in preparing national or European projects. ### **LANGUAGE LEVEL** * Good level in English, Spanish and Catalan (speaking and writing). ### **CONDITIONS** * Duration: 1 year * Starting date: 07 March 2026 * Contract Type: Part time (35h/week) * Salary: According to ISGlobal internal salary scale ### **HOW TO APPLY** Applicants must fill in the request form and attach the CV and a Cover Letter. To assess the person's skills and CV. 2 \- Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues. If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions. In accordance with the OTM\-R principles, a gender\-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview.
