




Position Summary: We are seeking an Engineering and Technical Office Director to lead technological transformation, innovation, and new product development within an industrial group. A major industrial group located in the Tolosaldea area (Gipuzkoa province, Basque Country/Spain), with over 100 years of history, specializing in rotary cutting machines, operating internationally with production facilities across several countries, and pursuing a strategic initiative focused on technological transformation in high-value sectors, requires a person to assume the ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL OFFICE DIRECTOR role. The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Industrial Engineering (Senior or Technical), possess strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and problem-solving skills. As a strategic figure in the group’s transformation project, the selected candidate will assume responsibility for directing the Engineering and Technical Office, as well as projects related to rotary cutting and sealing machines, and will be accountable for: * Leading, designing, and coordinating new product development projects. * Coordinating projects aimed at improving existing products. * Ensuring technological supervision and oversight of the technical team. * Supporting production, product launch, and validation. * Providing technical-commercial assistance. Reporting directly to the General Management, the selected candidate will assume overall responsibility for the Engineering and Technical Office. They will lead the technical team, serve as the key figure in managing the company’s R&D+i projects, and act as the technical-commercial liaison during the development of customer offers and proposals. Their primary mission will be to drive innovation, lead new product development, provide technical support to production and CAD-CAM activities, and guarantee the company’s technological evolution—anticipating market trends, competitive developments, and new collaboration opportunities. Responsibilities: * Manage the department to optimize team performance by planning resources, prioritizing tasks, aligning activities with objectives, and motivating staff toward goal achievement. * Lead the technical defense and feasibility analysis of offers and strategic projects. * Direct product development and promote technological innovation (R&D+i). * Supervise technical studies and 3D design of assemblies, as well as drafting of manufacturing construction drawings (design of parts, components, mechanisms, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems). * Coordinate and ensure correct commissioning of new products and processes. * Implement the departmental management plan and technical strategy. * Establish and monitor key departmental performance indicators. * Actively participate in the Executive Committee, contributing technical insight. * Ensure clear focus on products, production, and industrial processes. * Manage and lead projects from order placement through final implementation.
