Job Summary: Citogen is seeking a Forensic Specialist to review and validate genetic analyses and prepare expert reports in clinical, forensic, and reproductive genetics. Key Highlights: 1. Technical consulting in forensic genetics **Citogen**, a laboratory with over 20 years of experience, specialized in Clinical, Forensic, and Reproductive Genetics and committed to innovation and excellence for its clients, is recruiting: **Forensic Specialist** **Main Responsibilities**: * Review and validation of genetic analysis results obtained from biological samples (blood, saliva, bone, hair, etc.) in cases of human identification, paternity/maternity testing, and criminalistics. * Preparation and signing of expert reports in compliance with current regulations and international quality standards (ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 21043, ENFSI, among others). * Interpretation of complex, mixed, or degraded genetic profiles using specialized software. * Control and supervision of laboratory procedures, ensuring correct application of protocols for extraction, amplification, and genotyping. * Participation in internal and external audits, as well as in continuous quality management system improvement activities. * Technical consulting in forensic genetics for clients, lawyers, law enforcement agencies, and judicial authorities. * Collaboration with other experts and laboratories to cross-verify results or conduct independent reviews of expert reports. **Requirements:** * University degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Genetics, or Forensic Sciences. * Additional training: extraction techniques, PCR, STR and SNP analysis, and sequencing. * Technical knowledge and experience with ISO/IEC 17025 and chain-of-custody procedures. * Minimum\*\* experience:\*\* 1 year in a forensic or genetic laboratory. * Computer skills: proficiency in specialized forensic genetic analysis software. * Languages – English (Advanced level - B2). **Desired Competencies:** * Proactivity, flexibility, organizational skills, and teamwork. * Ability to communicate scientific findings and defend expert reports in judicial proceedings. * High degree of accuracy, scientific rigor, and ethical commitment. **Offered:** * Opportunity to join a leading company in its sector, offering stability and a highly dynamic work environment. ***Responsible Entity: CITOGEN S.L.U.; Purpose:*** *To enable the candidate to participate in the selection process initiated by CITOGEN S.L.U.* ***; Legal Basis:*** *Consent;* ***Recipients:*** *Personal data will not be transferred to third parties, except where required by law* ***; Rights:*** *Access, rectification, erasure, and other rights, as further detailed in the additional information* ***; Additional and Detailed Information:*** ***https://www.cagt.es/proteccion\-datos/******.
