Novanotio is seeking a Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to participate in a high-level technological project within the aerospace and defense sector. The selected candidate will join a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the design, development, validation, and certification of critical flight systems for UAV platforms. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Define and design UAV navigation system architectures aligned with aviation certification requirements. Develop, analyze, and manage system and software requirements. Participate in the full development lifecycle following the V-model, including verification and validation phases. Design redundancy strategies, fault tolerance, and functional safety mechanisms. Work on navigation systems based on GNSS, INS, and sensor fusion techniques. Collaborate with hardware, software, systems, and certification teams to ensure proper integration. Generate technical documentation compliant with applicable certification standards. Provide support during audits and certification processes with regulatory authorities. Participate in the development of guidance, navigation, and control algorithms. WHAT REQUIREMENTS DO YOU NEED? University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Experience designing architectures for critical embedded systems. Solid knowledge of aerial navigation and sensors, especially GNSS, INS, and sensor fusion. Experience in hardware-software system integration or knowledge of the DO-254 standard. Knowledge of aviation certification processes. Experience in developing and managing system and software requirements. Proficiency with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS or similar. Familiarity with standards such as ARP4754A and DO-178C. WE VALUE: Prior participation in certification programs with EASA or FAA. Experience in projects certified under DO-178C, especially at Levels A or B. Knowledge of PECAL 2110 and PECAL 2210 regulations. Experience in developing control and guidance algorithms. Knowledge of functional safety, redundancy, and fault tolerance. Previous experience in UAV or other unmanned aerospace systems projects. WHAT DO WE OFFER?
