Job Summary: We are seeking a technical expert in applications and products for the metal industry to lead strategic projects and support customers and teams, ensuring business growth. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead strategic technical projects with metal industry customers. 2. Support profitable business growth with technical expertise. 3. Act as a reference point for solutions and product optimization. Reporting to the Head of Product Management, you will provide expert technical knowledge and application expertise for the metal industry, supporting profitable business growth. You will be responsible for leading strategic technical projects with customers, providing technical support to the sales team, and acting as a reference point for solutions, testing, and product optimization—ensuring correct application of lubricants and technical solutions in customers’ production processes. **Areas of Responsibility:** ----------------------------- Primary contact for product and application expertise within the corresponding product group. In coordination with the Product Manager (PM), support the business segment lead (basic metals, metal forming) in growing segment profitability through application know-how and technical expertise. Provide technical support to both the sales team and customers—including product recommendations, technical advice, and consultancy—in coordination with the Metal PM. Lead all technical and field projects with customers: coordinate activities with the PM and sales team, supervise trials, prepare reports, and document success and failure cases (together with Marketing). Regular customer visits and interactions: engage with customers to understand their needs, deliver technical presentations, and offer customized solutions meeting their operational objectives. Documentation: maintain detailed records of customer visits, including incidents, new trials, and developments. Report results, application methods, and customer interactions. Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Execute Application Engineer actions included in the PM’s execution plan. Deliver technical training, both internally and externally. Develop proposals for new products and applications based on customer and market requirements. Collaborate with PMs to develop the marketing plan—including product launches, promotions, and participation in trade fairs and exhibitions. Work closely with Sales, R&D, and local subsidiaries. **Job Requirements:** -------------------------- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. 3–5 years of experience in the lubricants sector and metal forming processes. Experience as a Project Manager in multidisciplinary environments. Familiarity with industrial lubricant portfolios. Knowledge of production processes related to metal industry customers’ activities. Understanding of and sensitivity to Industry 4.0 trends, needs, and requirements. Customer orientation, critical thinking and problem management, creativity and initiative, agility, and strong communication skills are required. Fluent English (spoken and written).
