Description
BUSINESS ANALYST
Ametller Origen is a growing food-sector company that comprehensively manages the production and commercialization processes of its products. We cultivate, process, and select our products to guarantee flavor and quality from the source.
Our purpose is to promote a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle by facilitating access to nutritious, enjoyable, and clean food, with a firm commitment to society and the environment.
Do you want to join our team and help us bring this purpose to the community?
We are seeking a Business Analyst to serve as the Analytics reference for Operations and Retail, transforming business needs into useful, reliable, and actionable analytical solutions that support decision-making, ensure information quality, and drive business analytical autonomy.
**What will you do?**
\- Produce, maintain, and evolve domain analytical products—including operational dashboards, proactive alerts, automated monitoring, and recurring analyses—ensuring their usage, quality, updating, and retirement when they no longer deliver value.
\- Translate business needs into specific analytical questions, preparing comprehensive briefings and ensuring requests are clearly defined before initiating any solution or deliverable.
\- Design and consolidate the domain’s analytical self-service model, enabling the team to independently resolve routine queries using certified data.
\- Perform ad hoc analyses and answer one-off queries from the area using the existing and certified data layer, avoiding unnecessary dependencies on the Data team for standard queries.
\- Specify to the Data team unmet data requirements, detailing what is needed, for what purpose, and at what level of granularity.
\- Execute quality control and functional validation of new data models delivered by the Data team before the information is published as a certified layer and shared as official data.
\- Participate in cross-functional analytical projects as the domain’s functional expert, contributing business knowledge, process understanding, and insight into the area’s decision levers.
\- Proactively identify domain opportunities, risks, trends, or deviations, proposing analyses, alerts, or improvements to help anticipate decisions.
\- Enable the domain’s Power User Leader by training them, explaining available tools, gathering feedback, and measuring their degree of autonomy.
\- Present area operational summaries using certified data, actionable interpretation, and decision-oriented guidance.
\- Escalate to the Analytics Specialist projects requiring higher technical complexity, and to the Head of Analytics situations exceeding capacity, involving new master KPIs, spanning multiple domains, or generating prioritization conflicts.
\- Participate in cross-functional Analytics pillar rituals, such as weekly intake sessions, prioritization committees, adoption sessions, and model retrospectives.
**What are we looking for?**
University degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics, or related field.
2–4 years of prior experience relevant to this position. Practical knowledge of the retail operational model is desirable.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. User-level knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI, Looker, or similar.
Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle to access offices.
**What do we offer?**
Join a leading company in the sector, with a unique and differentiated business model, currently undergoing strong growth and expansion.
Permanent contract.
Workplace: Olèrdola / Remote work.
