




Ingeteam, a leading company specializing in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is seeking to hire a Power Hardware Engineer for its Technology Area of Converters & Controls in Zamudio. Main responsibilities: * Specify requirements, design, and validate power converters * Size power components and design PCBs * Collaborate on thermal, EMC, and mechanical design to integrate environmental requirements * Liaise with suppliers for component design * Collaborate with systems and embedded software teams * Commission and characterize prototypes * Verify and validate designs; characterize performance and operating margins * Industrialize new technologies and solutions * Collaborate with manufacturing teams and the supply chain to achieve mature products ready for production Requirements: * Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with extensive knowledge of Power Electronics * Minimum English level: B2 * Experience in designing high-performance DC/DC and DC/AC power converters: design, tuning, and testing of isolated and non-isolated high-frequency converters; full product lifecycle of power equipment—from schematics to component design, documentation, supplier communication, and prototype creation; modeling and dynamic system analysis; R&D of technology from concept to implementation; real-time simulations using tools such as Matlab/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, Spice; specification of gate drivers for converters * Knowledge of: high-frequency energy conversion or design and analysis of power distribution systems, including analysis of power electronics topologies, power components, magnetic elements, and capacitor technologies * Safety, EMC, thermal, and mechanical requirements * Teamwork, proactivity, innovation, and orientation toward quality and results Preferred qualifications: * Prior experience in a similar role * Communication, planning, and problem-solving skills * Additional languages We offer: * Opportunity to join an innovative, market-leading organization in Power Electronics, contributing to the energy model transition and impacting triple sustainability (social, environmental, and economic) * Flexible working hours and other work–life balance facilities * Compensation commensurate with the candidate’s experience * Indefinite-term employment contract * Integration into a young, dynamic, and technologically advanced team At Ingeteam, we value diversity and support the inclusion of people with disabilities.
