Description
At Intertek, we are seeking a **Mechanical Inspector** to join our team, responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of equipment, structures, and mechanical components throughout various stages of manufacturing, assembly, and inspection.
The selected candidate will perform dimensional and visual inspections, verify compliance with technical specifications, drawings, codes, and applicable standards, supervise manufacturing and welding processes, prepare inspection reports, and collaborate with clients, suppliers, and the technical team to ensure adherence to quality standards.
**Requirements**
Technical degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
Certification in welding inspection, welded construction, or related disciplines (e.g., CSWIP, AWS CWI, IWI, or other equivalent certifications).
Level II certification in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), preferably in one or more of the following methods:
* Penetrant Testing (PT)
* Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
* Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
* Industrial Radiography (RT)
* Visual Testing (VT)
Experience* Experience in mechanical inspection of industrial equipment, metallic structures, or mechanical manufacturing.
* Knowledge of manufacturing, welding, and assembly processes.
* Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
* Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, EN, AWS, or others).
