You define us, you make SGS **Job Description** We are looking for a technical engineer, preferably mechanical, to join our Technical Inspection and Assistance team and help us continue delivering the highest quality and technical service to our clients. Your main responsibilities will be: * Provide solutions for replacing obsolete mechanical equipment. * Perform technical evaluation of bids. * Conduct technical review of drawings, specifications, etc. * Ensure compliance with standards required by the equipment being replaced. * Provide technical support for inquiries from manufacturers and/or plant owners (maintenance, engineering). * Conduct kickoff meetings with the client's engineering team and/or suppliers. * Manage spare parts registration in inventory. * Carry out digital and intranet-based consulting and management tasks within the client's environment. * Review and update supplier procedures. * Review, control, and approve documents such as reports, tests, material lists, drawings, seismic-qualifications documents, dedications, dossiers, INCs, when applicable. * Attend factory technical inspection activities. * Identify spare parts needs and obsolescence issues. **Requirements** What are the requirements? * Degree in Industrial Engineering or Technical Engineering, preferably in mechanical specialization, although electrical specializations will not be ruled out. Specialization in manufacturing processes and/or maintenance is desirable. * Over 5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance is desirable. * Knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, piping, pipe fittings, heat exchangers, and other mechanical equipment. * Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, spare parts management, technical requirements assessment, applicable regulations, and technical bid evaluation. * Knowledge of industrial regulations, design codes, materials, welding, and European manufacturing standards. Desirable: * Knowledge of regulations related to nuclear power generation facilities. * Knowledge of classification of structures, systems, and components, seismic and environmental qualification, dedications in nuclear facilities. * Familiarity with regulations applicable to nuclear power generation facilities: CSN IS, UNE, CFR, ANSI, IEEE, ASME. * Knowledge of Quality Assurance in Nuclear Power Plants. * Minimum English level B2.
