Database Administrator (DBA)

Description

Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, as part of its technological evolution strategy and growth of its information systems, seeks to hire a Database Administrator (DBA) with advanced experience in critical environments. The selected candidate will join the Systems Team, participating in the management, evolution, and high availability of the database platforms supporting the hospital’s clinical and corporate systems. The primary objective is to ensure the availability, performance, integrity, and security of the hospital’s databases, as well as to lead initiatives related to replication, disaster recovery, and optimization within complex environments. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Advanced administration of **Oracle** and **SQL Server** databases in production and development environments. * Design, implementation, and maintenance of **high-availability and disaster-recovery architectures**. * Management and operation of replication solutions. * Monitoring and optimization of database performance. * Incident management and resolution of critical issues. * Planning and execution of backup and recovery strategies. * Collaboration with application, infrastructure, and project teams. * Participation in technological evolution projects (cloud, analytics, data integration, etc.). * Documentation of procedures and best practices. **WHAT WE OFFER:** * Full-time position (100%). * Long-term substitute contract. * Work schedule: four days per week from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and one day per week from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including a 30-minute lunch break. * Integration into a highly complex technological environment. * Participation in the hospital’s strategic projects. * Hybrid work model. * EstarBé Program: social benefits and wellbeing initiatives to support work-life balance. **THE PROFILE WE SEEK:** **Education** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent. **Experience** * Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a DBA in enterprise environments. * Demonstrable experience in 24x7 critical environments. **Technical Knowledge (Mandatory)** * Advanced proficiency in: + **Oracle Database** + **Microsoft SQL Server** * Solid experience in: + **Oracle Data Guard** + **Oracle GoldenGate** * Administration of Linux and/or Windows Server environments. * Knowledge of: + Backup/recovery strategies + Performance tuning + Database security **Additional Assets (Preferred):** * Experience in healthcare or hospital environments. * Cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure). * Experience in automation (scripts, DevOps). * Familiarity with other databases (MongoDB, MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, NoSQL). * High level of English proficiency. **We encourage you to focus your application on your experience and competencies.
