Adaptability. **Functions:** – Prepare menus according to established guidelines, always following written instructions provided by the social, medical or nutrition department. Special attention to diets. – Coordinate among kitchen staff the assembly of meal carts with prepared menus. – Ensure quality and presentation of meals. – Adjust portion sizes as prescribed by medical staff. – Receive food deliveries. Store them properly, supervising quantity and quality. – Submit purchase orders to the general services coordinator, managing them when required. – Supervise, together with immediate supervisor, economic data related to food management when applicable. – Daily monitoring of food expiration dates and proper storage in refrigerated chambers according to each food's characteristics and current health regulations. – Keep daily samples of cooked meals in compliance with current regulations. – Ensure that all kitchen equipment and utensils are clean. – Organize, supervise and control cleaning, maintenance and order of facilities, equipment and culinary utensils. Will participate in cleaning tasks when necessary. – Ensure proper use and condition of kitchen utensils and equipment. – Monitor and manage waste according to current regulations. – Transport waste to designated area within the facility for later removal. – Plate meals during meal times. – Collaborate within their functional scope, upon request from the technical team, in addressing users' educational needs related to their profession. – Report any incidents or anomalies observed during work to their supervisor. – Ensure proper uniformity of all kitchen staff and adherence to appropriate hygiene measures. – Carry out food hygiene controls and records by observing risks of food contamination based on packaging and handling, according to the preventive APPCC system and operations performed. – Special monitoring of foods containing allergens according to current legislation. **Requirements:** * Valid FOOD HANDLING CERTIFICATE. * IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY.
