Ona Hotels \& Apartments is a company specialized in the management and operation of holiday resorts. Currently, the company has a portfolio of 50 accommodations, most of which are located in Spain’s main tourist destinations. We are experiencing rapid growth and expansion! Therefore, we are seeking a ‘WAITER/ WAITRESS ASSISTANT’ to join the ONA team in Alcudia! What would your responsibilities be? · Serving breakfast. · Setting up and dismantling the buffet, as well as supporting maintenance and restocking activities. · Customer service. · Table service during meal hours. · Clearing and preparing the restaurant and pantry. · Assisting the head waiter with tasks related to food service. · Taking customer orders. · Verifying that customers meet the legally required minimum age for consuming alcoholic beverages. · Ensuring customers enjoy their meals and taking corrective action in case of any issues or incidents. · Answering questions about menu items and making recommendations upon request. · Explaining, upon customer request, how menu dishes are prepared, including ingredients used. · Recommending beverages to customers. · Informing customers about daily specials. · Cleaning tables after customers have finished dining. · Preparing hot and cold beverages. · Setting up and/or dismantling the dining area and/or other areas. · Complying with waste recycling procedures. What do we require from you? \- Minimum qualification: Intermediate Vocational Training Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism or Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), with relevant experience considered an advantage. \- Minimum 1 year of professional experience. \- Knowledge of cash handling. \- Flexibility to adapt your schedule to the establishment’s varying needs during peak and off-peak periods (trade fairs, conferences, Holy Week, long weekends, etc.), as well as to customer requirements (we will notify you as early as possible). \- Shift work and rotating days off. \- For our regular guests, we require at least intermediate-level English proficiency (able to converse and serve customers fluently within the context of restaurant service).
