




Position Summary: We are seeking a Marine Surveyor to conduct regulatory inspections and verifications across all port areas along the Spanish coastline, prepare technical reports, and coordinate with Maritime Classification Societies. Key Highlights: 1. Conducting vessel, hold, cargo, and container inspections. 2. Preparing highly rigorous technical reports. 3. Coordinating and providing technical assistance to Maritime Classification Societies. We require a highly qualified Marine Surveyor to carry out regulatory inspections and verifications **in all port areas along the** **Spanish coastline.** * **Location: Nationwide and international operations (ports, shipyards, and aboard vessels and offshore platforms)** * Employment Type: On-site with travel required **Main Responsibilities:** * Conducting vessel, hold, cargo, and container inspections in compliance with national and international regulations. * Preparing technical reports, including condition surveys, on/off-hire surveys, draft surveys, cargo hold surveys, pre-purchase inspections, P&I surveys, and damage surveys. * Coordinating and providing technical assistance for work with Maritime Classification Societies (IACS), including class surveys, ISPS/ISM audits, load line verifications, and renewal surveys. * Ensuring regulatory compliance under IMO conventions (SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW) as well as ILO MLC 2006, IMSBC Code, IGC Code, and applicable port regulations. * Issuing highly rigorous technical reports, including root-cause analysis, assessment of structural damage, determination of seaworthiness, conformity certifications, and reports meeting P&I standards. * Supervising complex port operations: loading & discharge monitoring, stowage plan control, lashing & securing verification per CSS Code/Annex 13, and handling of bulk, liquid, and project cargo. * Liaising with shipowners, port authorities, shipping agents, and port administrations. **Requirements:** * Proven experience in the maritime or port sector, preferably as a Marine Surveyor. * Proficiency in international regulations: SOLAS, MARPOL, LLC, ISM, ISPS, IMDG, IMSBC, and Classification Society requirements. * Advanced ability to interpret plans & drawings: general arrangement, midship section, structural scantlings, machinery layouts, and stability booklets. * Technical English applied to reporting and professional communication within the maritime sector. * Ability to work autonomously, exercise sound technical judgment, and willingness to travel. **Offered:** * Stable contract with continuity and involvement in high-level technical projects. * Competitive remuneration package aligned with profile and experience. * Travel allowances and compensation for business trips. * Access to advanced technical training and specialized support. * A dynamic team with international outlook. * Operational freedom to work in any coastal province of Spain. *Statement on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion:* *We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, and welcome applications from all sectors of the community, as we believe a diverse workforce brings greater depth to our work.* * Proven experience in the maritime or port sector, preferably as a Marine Surveyor. * Proficiency in international regulations: SOLAS, MARPOL, LLC, ISM, ISPS, IMDG, IMSBC, and Classification Society requirements. * Advanced ability to interpret plans & drawings: general arrangement, midship section, structural scantlings, machinery layouts, and stability booklets. * Technical English applied to reporting and professional communication within the maritime sector. * Ability to work autonomously, exercise sound technical judgment, and willingness to travel.
