We are seeking a MAÎTRE for our HESPERIA PRESIDENTE HOTEL located in Barcelona. What will you do on a daily basis? • Manage the hotel’s food & beverage area (breakfast, events, and bar), ensuring excellent service and guest satisfaction. • Organize and coordinate all F\&B staff, optimizing the human and material resources provided by the hotel.
### **Requirements**
• Minimum 2\-3 years’ experience as a maître in a similar hotel. • Proficiency in English is mandatory. • Leadership skills with strong customer orientation, team management, and goal-driven mindset. • Oversight of raw material procurement and warehouse management. • Planning and direction of food & beverage services. • Computer literacy. • Technical knowledge related to the position: protocol and cost management.
### **What We Offer**
• Prepare staff schedules and working hours, reporting hires, terminations, absences, etc. • Ensure the professional image and excellent guest service delivered by your team. • Recruit, train, and evaluate all department personnel. • Supervise service delivery and guest interaction handled by waitstaff under your responsibility during each service (breakfast, events, bar) or other hotel-organized events, setting the work pace and overseeing execution. • Conduct pre-service briefings with the team. • Implement checklists for procedure review and supervise their correct execution. • Supervise daily point-of-sale revenue reporting, monitor consumption, and perform cash reconciliation at points of sale. • Address guest and colleague complaints and suggestions. • Monitor inventory of products and materials, identifying requirements based on existing stock levels and projected consumption relative to occupancy, and submitting necessary requisitions to the Commissary Department. • Promote purchases of new materials enhancing the hotel’s image and services. • Inform Management about newly introduced products within the department, specifically regarding their acceptance. • Ensure proper use and functionality of departmental operational procedures. • Guarantee adherence to service standards. • Disseminate quality standards and encourage team compliance. • Ensure compliance—and ensure your team complies—with all APPCC regulations and hotel-defined quality standards. • Fulfill hotel-mandated sustainability commitments: recycling, energy consumption, etc. What do you need for this position? • Intermediate or Advanced Vocational Training Diploma in Hospitality.
