(ASTICAN) is a privately-owned ship repair yard with experienced personnel, whose main activity is the repair, maintenance, and conversion of all types of vessels, structures, and marine renewable energy devices, as well as offshore units.** ### **The shipyard began full operations in 1976 with modern facilities, particularly featuring a Syncrolift launching system capable of lifting vessels up to 36,000 tonnes deadweight, and seven slipways that meet the quality and service demands of shipowners, allowing quick assistance with minimal advance notice.** **Position:** ----------- At Astican, we are seeking Naval or Mechanical Engineers for temporary projects starting in the second half of 2025. The responsibilities of the engineers will include the following, always assisting the Ship Superintendent: * Manage the procurement of necessary human and material resources for project execution; coordinate with workshop supervisors and subcontractors regarding company-owned and external resources. * Upon vessel arrival at the shipyard, manage the acquisition of required services and any additional ones requested by the Shipowner's representative. * Prepare the initial project schedule. * Effectively lead the project to achieve quality, safety, cost, timeline, and environmental compliance objectives. * Review the quoted budget and the contract signed with the client. * Keep the client informed in writing about any circumstances affecting key project milestones, vessel departure, or any significant changes. * Personally and directly supervise and manage onboard work execution. * Closely monitor contracted works (as well as those performed by shipyard personnel) to ensure quality and to quantitatively and qualitatively define their actual scope. * Advise the client on any additional services or works they may require. * At project completion, jointly with the Shipowner’s representative, supervise operational tests, including sea trials when necessary, and deliver the vessel. * Accept and control warehouse charges assigned to their project. * Verify repair authorization from the Production, Commercial, and Financial departments prior to vessel launch. * Coordinate the launch with the Maintenance department. **Requirements:** --------------- To pass the pre-selection, we require that you: * Hold a degree in Naval Engineering or equivalent * Have a minimum English level of B2 * Have knowledge or training in Occupational Risk Prevention (basic 50-hour course) * Be proficient at an intermediate-advanced level in Microsoft Office * Desirable: Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, knowledge of other languages. **Additional Information:** --------------------- *Astican is an equal opportunity employer.
