As part of our positioning as a leading company in Defense and Security, we are seeking a Cryptographic Key Management Software Engineer to participate in the QKD GEO GARBO project, contributing to the design, development, and validation of key management systems (KMS) based on secure hardware. What will you do? Analyze and implement cryptographic key management software protocols. Design, develop, and validate key management systems supported by secure hardware. Develop C/C\+\+ components oriented toward security, performance, and robustness services. Integrate and operate with HSMs via standard interfaces (PKCS\#11\). Design and execute unit tests (design \+ execution) to ensure quality and maintainability. Work with databases / SQL when required for persistence or auditing. Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, and networking teams in a multidisciplinary environment. Prepare technical documentation associated with developments and validations. What are we looking for in you? You don’t need to meet 100% of the requirements. We want to get to know you and understand what you can bring. ✅ Software development experience, preferably in security/encryption environments. ✅ Advanced C\+\+ and proficiency in C/C\+\+ development. ✅ Experience with or familiarity using HSMs and integration via PKCS\#11\. ✅ Basic knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography. ✅ Basic knowledge of or interest in QKD and/or post-quantum cryptography (PQC) (desirable). ✅ Experience in designing and executing unit tests (intermediate level). ✅ Linux system handling (Ubuntu and/or Red Hat). ✅ Intermediate-level SQL knowledge. ✅ Analytical profile, attentive to software quality and security. ✅ Ability to work collaboratively, communicate technical ideas, and propose improvements. ✅ Availability to work in Alcobendas under a hybrid model (60% annual remote work).
