From the P\&PD Engineering Department, we are seeking a technical illustrator with technical drawing knowledge to work for a major aerospace client in Madrid.
Key responsibilities include:
* Producing technical illustrations for various types of aircraft, engine, and associated support equipment manuals, including:
* Operations
* Maintenance
* Repair
* Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC)
* Preparing technical illustrations for Initial Provisioning Lists (IPL).
* Developing technical illustrations for inspection and repair instructions.
* Verifying and validating illustrations against established style guides.
* Providing technical advice to writers and other departmental illustrators.
* Coordinating with various internal and external departments to integrate into ongoing workflows and projects.

* Academic background: technical drafter (preferably mechanical specialization) or equivalent higher education qualification.
* Intermediate-to-advanced level of English, both spoken and written.
* Product technology knowledge (aircraft, aviation engines, associated systems and equipment).
* Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a technical illustrator (desirable).
* Familiarity with technical illustration software such as Isodraw or similar.
* Knowledge of CAD systems (UniGraphics, CADDS 5, CATIA).
* Experience using electronic mock-ups in UniGraphics, CADDS, or CATIA, and generating 2D views in CGM format.
* Understanding of source technical data configuration control processes (SDM).
* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
* Enthusiasm for professional learning and development within this field.
