Description
The position requires performing polishing and sanding tasks on various materials, primarily metals, to achieve the quality standards and surface finishes specified for each project. The person in this role must interpret technical drawings and diagrams to understand the specific requirements of each component and apply appropriate processes.
The role involves regularly operating polishing machines to achieve optimal results in terms of surface smoothness, gloss, and texture. Various types of finishes are applied—including satin, glossy, matte, and mirror-like finishes—according to job specifications. Additionally, the corporate time-tracking system must be used to accurately record time spent on each task or project.
The work environment is industrial and forms part of broader manufacturing processes, contributing to significant projects for internationally recognized brands. Attention to detail and commitment to precision are essential to ensure the final quality of delivered products.
A compulsory secondary education (ESO) qualification is required, along with a minimum of one year’s experience in polishing or sanding tasks, either on metals or wood. Practical knowledge of sanding and polishing techniques, use of tools such as angle grinders for cutting, and operation of grinders for surface finishing is also required.
