Position Summary: We are seeking a Spanish-Chinese Mandarin interpreter to provide linguistic and operational support during the construction of a gypsum board manufacturing plant, ensuring effective communication. We are constructing a gypsum board manufacturing plant in Zaragoza; **Gypzero**, an innovative and sustainable project driving the industry toward the NetZero model. You will join the Maintenance Department, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. You will become part of a company strongly committed to safety, quality, and efficiency standards, where you will play a vital role in conveying and implementing management directives, ensuring equipment availability and reliability. **What will be your responsibilities?** * Interpretation during meetings * Consecutive Spanish-Chinese Mandarin interpretation during daily coordination meetings. * Specific support to the Chinese team’s Program Manager and Alier S.A.’s executive personnel. * Participation in construction progress, planning, and coordination meetings with contractors or auxiliary services. * Daily operational support + Accompanying Chinese personnel during work execution. + Facilitating communication between the Chinese team and Spanish staff. + Oral translation of operational instructions, procedures, and internal communications. * Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP) + Interpretation during safety training sessions. + Oral translation of safety regulations and preventive measures. + Support during safety talks, coordination meetings, and ORP-related communications. * Training on auxiliary equipment \- Interpretation during training and qualification of Chinese team personnel for equipment operation, including but not limited to: + Forklift trucks. + Telescopic handlers. + Mobile elevated work platforms (if applicable). * Other auxiliary equipment used on site. * Translation of basic documentation * Work procedures. * Operational instructions. * Internal communications. * Signage and documentation **What can Alier offer you?** * Working hours: Monday to Friday. * Full-time: 8 hours per day (40 hours per week). * Occasional availability to extend working hours or work on Saturdays, subject to prior authorization and separate economic assessment. * Working hours: 08\.30\-17\.30H Workplace: Zaragoza, PTR López Soriano Industrial Park (La Cartuja) * Project type: Installation and commissioning of a gypsum board production line * Work modality: On-site presence. **What do you need to succeed in this position?** * Professional proficiency in both Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, spoken and written. * Demonstrable experience as a liaison interpreter in industrial, construction, or installation environments. * Basic knowledge of industrial technical terminology. * Ability to work on-site and collaboratively within multicultural teams. * Availability for daily commuting to the workplace in Zaragoza. Additional assets include: * Education or experience in Chinese-origin projects implemented in Spain. * Experience in industrial facility commissioning.
