Project Manager – Specialist in Healthcare Interoperability Job Description At BABEL, we seek a Project Manager with experience in healthcare interoperability, capable of leading complex clinical system integration projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring timely delivery, quality, regulatory compliance, and budget adherence in highly demanding technological environments. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing interoperability projects, guaranteeing correct implementation of standards, seamless communication among systems, and effective coordination between technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders in the healthcare domain. Key Responsibilities * End-to-end management, planning, and control of healthcare interoperability projects. * Coordination with technical teams for integration and evolution of clinical information systems (EHRs, HIS, LIS, RIS, healthcare ERPs, etc.). * Oversight of implementation of interoperability standards and frameworks: HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, CDA, DICOM, IHE, among others. * Ensuring data quality, security, and traceability across exchanged information. * Identification and mitigation of technical, regulatory, and operational risks. * Client liaison and preparation of technical and executive project status reports. * Participation in effort estimation, proposal development, scope definition, and roadmap planning. * Coordination with external vendors and public or private healthcare organizations. * Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations (ENS, GDPR, regional healthcare regulations, etc.). Requirements * Proven experience (minimum 2 years) managing healthcare interoperability projects. * Solid knowledge of interoperability standards: HL7, FHIR, CDA, DICOM, IHE profiles. * Experience coordinating technical teams and managing client and vendor relationships. * Knowledge of integration architectures and tools: ESB, API Management, or interoperability engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, Orion Health, etc.). * Ability to plan, document, and communicate effectively. * Familiarity with agile (Scrum, Kanban) and traditional (Waterfall) methodologies. * Desirable experience with technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, or Frontend. * Highly desirable certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, Scrum Master, or equivalent.
