As a **Software Development Engineer**, you will play an active role in end-to-end software solution development, contributing technical autonomy, sound decision-making judgment, and the ability to translate product requirements into consistent, high-quality deliverables. Our mission is to enable continuous learning for individuals and organizations through a flexible, secure digital platform that integrates content from multiple sources and adapts to every context. **What you’ll do at ODILO:** * Independently develop medium-complexity features and components—from technical analysis through implementation, validation, and deployment. * Participate in the technical design of solutions, evaluating aspects such as maintainability, scalability, performance, security, and user experience. * Collaborate closely with Product Managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand problems, align expectations, and deliver viable solutions. * Ensure software quality through sound development practices, testing, code reviews, and monitoring behavior in production. * Analyze, resolve, and prevent technical incidents, contributing to system stability and continuous product improvement. * Actively participate in code reviews and share knowledge with other team members, helping raise the collective technical bar. * Propose improvements to components, processes, tools, or engineering practices that enable the team to be more efficient and build more robust software. * Contribute to maintaining and evolving the architecture and systems you work on, understanding the technical impact of your decisions. * Collaborate in task planning and estimation, identifying risks, dependencies, and technical needs in advance. * Take ownership of assigned initiatives—track progress and assume responsibility for the final quality of deliverables. * **Leverage AI tools and capabilities (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.)** to improve productivity, accelerate development, testing, documentation, and technical analysis tasks—and contribute to more efficient, higher-quality software delivery—while simultaneously promoting continuous improvement through exploration of these technologies and sharing this knowledge with the Engineering team. * **Contribute to a team culture** rooted in collaboration, continuous learning, shared accountability, and constant improvement. **Profile Requirements:** * Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technologies, or related fields. * Minimum **3 years of experience in similar roles**, independently developing features within digital products or platforms, applying sound development practices, testing, code review, and software maintenance. * Solid knowledge of backend and/or frontend web development using technologies such as **Java, Angular, and cloud platforms like AWS**, as well as CI/CD tools (Bitbucket Pipelines, ArgoCD) and observability/monitoring solutions like Datadog. * Strong understanding of APIs, databases, version control, and deployment environments. * Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical profiles. * Ownership mindset, quality orientation, and focus on continuous improvement. * **Experience using AI applied to software development**, with the ability to apply it critically, responsibly, and with the goal of improving efficiency, quality, and impact. We seek candidates for whom AI usage is not foreign—but rather an established methodology already applied in their daily work. * Excellent **communication and organizational skills**, enabling autonomous, value-driven work without losing alignment or teamwork effectiveness. * Comfort working with changing or incomplete requirements.
