Driving continuous improvement and innovative strategic projects **Grupo Virto**, a leading food company and benchmark in the ultra-frozen vegetable sector, is seeking, for its headquarters in **Azagra**, a **Plant Director to lead and direct the Group’s flagship production center**, with a team of over 400 people. **What will this position offer you?** **AUTONOMY AND ORGANIZATION:** You will be responsible for the plant’s comprehensive management, with autonomy to organize and optimize available technical and human resources, aligning them with the Group’s strategic objectives. **LEADERSHIP AND TEAMWORK:** You will manage a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, forming part of the Group’s executive management and collaborating closely with other strategic departments in making key decisions regarding personnel and their development. **CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:** You will have the opportunity to implement innovative projects to improve processes and optimize production, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. **STRATEGIC PROJECTS:** You will collaborate in the design and execution of strategic projects for the plant’s growth and expansion, with the possibility of contributing your perspective on key Group matters. **LEADING-SECTOR AND CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY:** You will work in the food industry, using the most advanced technology and applying best practices in production and food safety, within an environment that values innovation and talent. **What will your responsibilities be?** Reporting to the Group’s Industrial Management, you will be the **plant’s responsible person**, managing and optimizing technical and human resources. Your mission will be to ensure achievement of efficiency, quality, and food safety targets, and to optimize production processes, always seeking improved efficiency and reduced operating costs. You will **manage your human team**, from operators to middle management, motivating and developing them while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. You will **size the workload**, guaranteeing balanced production and optimized production times. You will **define and manage the plant’s annual budget**, ensuring optimal use of financial resources. You will analyze variances and guarantee control over operating costs, always pursuing profitability and efficiency across all areas. You will **coordinate and ensure compliance** in the following areas: quality, maintenance, safety and hygiene, and occupational risk prevention—ensuring adherence to established quality and safety standards, a safe working environment for all employees, and compliance with current regulations. Furthermore, you will be responsible for **driving continuous improvement** through process optimization projects. You will implement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Six Sigma to **enhance productivity, reduce waste**, and ensure process standardization. All this while maintaining focus on industrial automation and digitalization, which will be fundamental to sustaining the plant’s competitiveness. **What will make you successful in this position?** A university degree in **Industrial Engineering**, Mechanical Engineering, or similar disciplines is required. You must possess solid knowledge of production processes and a minimum of **5 years’ experience leading a plant or holding positions of responsibility** in industrial environments, preferably in the food sector, with proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams. A **proactive, results-oriented mindset**, along with the ability to **constructively manage conflicts**, is essential. Your experience managing organizational change will be a key asset, as you will be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement at the plant.
