**Job Description:** **Position** DECORATION MACHINE MECHANIC FOR CONTINUOUS ROTATING SHIFTS **Reports to** DECORATION ZONE RESPONSIBLE **Department** PRODUCTION **Section** **Mission** Control, adjust and carry out necessary repairs to ensure the proper operation of all Deco equipment, while also monitoring the appropriate quality of containers at the output of each machine. Work safely. **Main Responsibilities** Verify that containers exit correctly from the various stages: decoration and baking. Correct, repair, adjust, lubricate, replace parts and tooling of the machines in the area to ensure their proper operation. Refill inks and varnishes. Change the manufacturing code (due to shift change or design change) and clean plates and blankets. Verify that lithography is satisfactory after the change. Drain filters and ducts. Clean them with solvent. Record downtime durations in minutes within each hour on the downtime control sheet. Carry out design changes: replace cylinders and blankets, clean ink fountains and engraving heads, adjust the design of the various cylinders, and adjust pressure and ink supply for each head. Prepare necessary elements for the next shift’s design change. Observe and monitor proper process operation, detecting possible anomalies. Stop and start machines. Perform preventive maintenance tasks during the shift. Support maintenance during scheduled maintenance activities. Compliance with E, H & S regulations. Know, apply and comply with policies, standards, and all applicable legal requirements related to Quality and Food Safety systems. **Academic Requirements / Qualifications** Minimum qualification: Vocational Training Level II / Higher Degree in Metal/Mechanical field, or demonstrable experience in this position. E, H & S training. Quality and food safety training. **Estimated Professional Experience** Two years
