Long description **Vehicle Engineer at EuroMaint in Lund – technical expert with breadth and depth** Do you have a strong technical interest in heavy vehicles and the technology behind them? Then you might be the person we are looking for! **About the role** As a vehicle engineer at EuroMaint in Lund, you will become the technical specialist for the tram project and the vehicles involved. The role is extremely broad—you will be a key person working hands-on with troubleshooting and technical support on the shop floor, while simultaneously driving improvement initiatives and technical projects from the office. It is a role that takes time to learn all responsibilities—therefore, we are looking for someone who is motivated, curious, and genuinely interested in technology. Examples of responsibilities: In this role, you will closely collaborate with production and technicians to promote high quality and efficiency. You will act as a technical advisor in customer meetings and serve as an important liaison between CAF, the customer, and internal teams. You will actively analyze systematic failures and other cost-driving issues, while also providing technical support to production staff during complex troubleshooting. You will participate in testing various software systems for the vehicles, review and implement hardware and software modifications in consultation with subcontractors, and develop technical documentation, checklists, and instructions. You will monitor vehicle status throughout the contract period based on both internal and customer-related key performance indicators, and take responsibility for driving improvement activities related to the technical log. Additionally, you will contribute technical input to bidding teams, review new concepts and vehicles, and manage master data within the business system. **Your profile** You are communicative, analytical, and quick to take initiative. You have an electrical background with experience in troubleshooting and installations in vehicles, and you can think theoretically and act practically in an environment requiring precision. We would like you to have: * Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent, and 2–5 years of experience with heavy vehicles (railway, aviation, marine, truck) * Experience with business systems and good computer proficiency, especially the Outlook suite * Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, electrical schematics, and drawings * Aptitude for identifying solutions in complex problems * Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
