Join us and help the world’s leading organizations discover the value of technology and build a more sustainable and inclusive world. **About the Role** ------------------ We are seeking a **Corrosion Engineer** to participate in railway sector projects, responsible for analyzing, diagnosing, and treating corrosion and water leakage issues in metallic structures and components of trains. The selected candidate will contribute to ensuring the reliability, safety, and durability of railway vehicles through the application of preventive and corrective solutions. **Remote work mode**, with occasional client visits in **Zaragoza or San Sebastián**. **Job Responsibilities** ------------------------ * Analyze root causes of corrosion issues in railway equipment and structures. * Conduct visual and technical inspections to identify signs of corrosion, deterioration, and associated damage. * Evaluate incidents related to water leakage and their impact on materials and systems. * Perform or supervise cleaning and rust removal operations on affected components. * Define and apply anti-corrosion treatments, protective coatings, primers, and specialized paints. * Prepare technical reports, improvement proposals, and corrective actions. * Ensure compliance with established quality and maintenance standards for railway assets. **Required Profile** -------------------- **Academic Qualifications** * Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical degree. * Specific training in materials, corrosion, and surface protection is valued. **Experience** * Minimum 2 years of experience in corrosion-related activities, materials, or maintenance of metallic structures. * Experience in root cause analysis and resolution of technical incidents. * Prior experience in railway or industrial environments is desirable. **Technological Tools and Technical Knowledge** * Advanced knowledge of metallic material corrosion. * Knowledge of water leakage and its effects on railway structures. * Inspection, diagnosis, and damage assessment techniques. * Anti-corrosion treatments and surface protection systems. * Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies. * Knowledge of painting. **English Proficiency:** minimum B2 intermediate level **What You’ll Love About Working Here?** ------------------------------------- * Privately funded health insurance (50% subsidized). * Meal vouchers or €100.25 monthly allowance paid via payroll. * 24 vacation days, plus 2 personal days \+ holidays on December 24 and December 31 \+ option to purchase up to 7 additional vacation days per year. * Life and accident insurance. * Childcare allowance of €600 for children aged 0–3 years. * Flexible working hours (project-dependent). * Intensive work schedule during summer months (July and August) and every Friday throughout the year. * FlexAbroad: possibility to work remotely from another country for up to 45 days (project-dependent). **Why Capgemini Engineering?** ----------------------------------- Capgemini is a global leader in digital transformation and business management, driving an inclusive and sustainable future through technology.
