**About the Role**
------------------
We are seeking a **Corrosion Engineer** to participate in railway sector projects, responsible for analyzing, diagnosing, and treating corrosion and water leakage issues in metallic structures and components of trains. The selected candidate will contribute to ensuring the reliability, safety, and durability of railway vehicles through the application of preventive and corrective solutions. **Remote work mode**, with occasional client visits in **Zaragoza or San Sebastián**.
**Job Responsibilities**
------------------------
* Analyze root causes of corrosion issues in railway equipment and structures.
* Conduct visual and technical inspections to identify signs of corrosion, deterioration, and associated damage.
* Evaluate incidents related to water leakage and their impact on materials and systems.
* Perform or supervise cleaning and rust removal operations on affected components.
* Define and apply anti-corrosion treatments, protective coatings, primers, and specialized paints.
* Prepare technical reports, improvement proposals, and corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with established quality and maintenance standards for railway assets.
**Required Profile**

**Academic Qualifications**
* Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical degree.
* Specific training in materials, corrosion, and surface protection is valued.
**Experience**
* Minimum 2 years of experience in corrosion-related activities, materials, or maintenance of metallic structures.
* Experience in root cause analysis and resolution of technical incidents.
* Prior experience in railway or industrial environments is desirable.
**Technological Tools and Technical Knowledge**
* Advanced knowledge of metallic material corrosion.
* Knowledge of water leakage and its effects on railway structures.
* Inspection, diagnosis, and damage assessment techniques.
* Anti-corrosion treatments and surface protection systems.
* Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
* Knowledge of painting.
**English Proficiency:** minimum B2 intermediate level
