Description
Kitchen Assistant
• Clean kitchens, food preparation areas, and service areas.
• Assist cooks in preparing food by washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
• Plate meals for service.
• Unpack, inspect, transport, weigh, and store supplies in refrigerators, pantry cabinets, and other storage areas.
• Wash dishes and kitchen utensils and set them aside.
• Prepare, cook, toast, and reheat simple foods.
* Competencies / Knowledge: Training related to the hospitality and culinary sector will be valued, such as a professional qualification certificate, vocational training, or studies in cooking and gastronomy. Food handling training will also be valued. The candidate must possess basic knowledge of food preparation and handling, food hygiene and safety regulations, cleaning and maintenance of facilities, kitchen utensils, and equipment.
