




Title: Field Service Technician I Location: San Sebastian JOB SUMMARY AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* Maintain, install, and repair equipment within an assigned territory to ensure continuity of customer operations and high levels of customer satisfaction. * May be required to work outside the assigned area depending on projects, to cover other technicians, and during peak demand periods. * Responsible for customer issues or incidents until resolution is achieved, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). * Diagnose, repair, and replace components on any equipment supported by NCR Voyix, including but not limited to Point of Sale, self-service kiosks, servers and other office equipment, portable terminals, and associated peripherals. * Install new equipment or upgrade existing equipment in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). * Assist in site preparation, including cabling installation, equipment setup, and equipment testing; may also perform necessary modular changes and unit replacements. * Subject to required training and certification that may be necessary for working at heights, for example, ladders, elevated platforms, and/or using portable power tools. * The Field Service Technician responds to all customer inquiries or problems by resolving them or escalating to the appropriate associate, team member, territory manager, or Control Tower. * Build working relationships with customers and develop informal communication channels with the customer account at the local level. * Represent NCR Voyix in a manner that positively reflects the company's image and reputation. * Perform periodic preventive maintenance on assigned products; diagnose issues, make repairs, and replace components or modules. * Responsible for all NCR Voyix assets used in delivering customer service (i.e., tools, software, vehicles, documentation, and intellectual property), or as assigned by management. * Maintain proper inventory of parts, as well as their records and stock levels. * Accurately and promptly report service calls and activities, as well as other reports as needed; track and report all expenses incurred while delivering services, including phone, private vehicle, and/or public transportation. * Capture detailed customer asset information and other necessary data to complete billing or collection activities. * May require extended travel, transportation, and lifting of parts of varying weights (up to 50 lbs. or 25 kg); may require bending/crouching, walking/standing/sitting for prolonged periods. * Participate in the Shift Pattern for the operational area – this may include weekend and evening work as determined by Customer Coverage and SLA requirements. * May be asked to participate in night shifts where 24 x 7 customer support is required; additional premium pay may apply according to country guidelines; may include occasional night work to support implementation projects. * Work to routinely meet established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, superior quality outcomes, cost awareness and control, and safe operations as top priorities. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS* Valid driver's license required. * High school diploma or equivalent in years of related experience. * Basic computer skills, including navigation of Windows OS and basic familiarity with Microsoft Office suite. * Experience in PC hardware maintenance and support. Works well with minimal supervision; strong problem-solving skills; ability to quickly acquire new skills; ability to work under pressure; ability to meet deadlines and produce high-quality work. * Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills required. * High level of mechanical/electrical aptitude; experience in computer hardware maintenance (desktops, servers, peripherals), routers, networks, switches, hubs required. * High level of personal integrity; supports and promotes teamwork and cooperative effort. * Must be able to work on a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, overtime, flexible shifts, and emergency call-outs. JOB REQUIREMENTS* Must be authorized to operate a motor vehicle in your jurisdiction and accept periodic, controlled review of telematics (GPS) data for driving behavior risk analysis while performing work for the company in a company-provided vehicle (as applicable). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* Associate degree/certifications in a technology field preferred. * Prior experience with NCR or similar equipment is a plus. * Recognized qualification in the field of Electronics or IT preferred. * Experience in POS maintenance or installation; proven PC hardware experience may be considered if POS experience is limited. * Possession of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) certification, 20 or 60 hours.
