**DHL Freight Spain is expanding its team!**
At DHL Freight Spain, we are recruiting a specialist warehouse operative for our Irún terminal (Gipuzkoa, Basque Country) to develop and manage land and warehouse operations plans and processes; ensure smooth operations for the movement, storage, and inventory control of materials, finished products, tools, and packaging; and meet specific cost, quality, customer, and market requirements aligned with business strategy and corporate guidelines, policies, and requirements.
**What are we looking for?**
* Relevant FP I or FP II qualification.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in the sector in a similar position.
* Valid forklift operator certificate and daily forklift handling experience.
* Ability to work in a team.
* Communication skills.
**Responsibilities and Duties:**
* Receive, sort, and process incoming/outgoing materials/cargoes, parts, products, supplies, and equipment according to defined schedules, established procedures, and regulations.
* Verify and confirm accurate receipt and dispatch of cargo against relevant documentation.
* Manually load and unload materials onto/off pallets, trays, shelves, and racks, ensuring cargo is stored in assigned locations.
* Load materials and goods into vehicles/trucks/containers and use manual tools to install strapping, reinforcements, and cushioning.
* Carry out cargo movement in compliance with regulations and internal procedures, updating shipment status accordingly.
* Assist with stock counts and reconcile any inventory discrepancies, monitor cycle counts, and order processing response time.
* Update inventory records, including customer stock records.
* Guide and carry out physical cargo handling, execute all receiving and order processing operations accurately, and ensure cargo is packed as requested.
* Identify and resolve recurring issues and suggest improvements related to warehouse work methods and manual handling, focusing on enhancing efficiency, faster service, and lower costs.
* Manage and perform warehouse/distribution center activities related to movement, tools, and packaging (e.g., pickers and packers).
* Pack items for shipment according to specifications.
* Receive or inspect goods, scan and verify items against shipping records.
* Operate gas or electric forklift trucks to move, stack, load, or unload materials, parts, and goods.
* Consolidate shipments.
* Perform unit load devices (ULD) loading.
