You will design mechanical components and sheet metal fabrication assemblies for medium-voltage distribution switchgear. You will create 3D models and technical drawings using Creo PTC. You will perform structural simulations via Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS to validate strength and mechanical behavior. You will define technical specifications for steel sheet parts (stainless steel, galvanized, painted, etc.). You will coordinate with external companies (contractors) for manufacturing, ensuring compliance with drawings, tolerances, and quality standards. You will collaborate with internal electrical and product engineering teams to guarantee mechanical integration. You will participate in design reviews, cost analysis, and optimization of manufacturing processes. You will manage technical documentation (drawings, bills of materials, assembly instructions). You will ensure compliance with applicable regulations (IEC, ISO, electrical and mechanical safety). **WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE** * **Education:** Engineering degree. * **Technical knowledge:** Expertise in mechanical design focused on sheet metal fabrication and metal structures. Advanced knowledge of metallic materials: stainless steel, galvanized steel, surface treatments. Expert-level proficiency in Creo PTC and drawing generation. Experience in structural simulation with ANSYS (static analysis, deformations, stresses). Ability to interpret drawings, geometric tolerances, and welding standards. Familiarity with manufacturing processes: bending, laser cutting, punching, welding. Basic knowledge of structural analysis and mechanics of materials. Experience managing bills of materials (BOM) and ERP systems (BAAN).
